On July 26, 2017, I was given the opportunity and privilege to travel to Indianapolis to attend an event that has changed my life the moment I stepped foot into the premises - North American Youth Congress (NAYC) '17 at Lucas Oil Stadium. This NAYC has been extraordinary from the beginning until the end. I honestly do not know where to begin or what words to say to describe the greatness that I experienced throughout the last week of July. More than 34,000 apostolic people of all ages were gathered with the mutual purpose of worshipping and honoring God. God did miracles! He touched and changed hearts, He healed the ill, He cast out fears, and gave life back to visions and dreams that were asleep. I am beyond blessed to have been a part of this momentous event.
At the beginning of the first service, I couldn't help but cry of happiness because I was inside a football stadium, not to watch a football game, but to gather with thousands of others who believe in what I believe in; to worship a God that is greater and mightier than anything I have ever known. Michael Ensey, the youth president of the General Youth Division and first preacher of the night, challenged everyone by asking, "What could you accomplish if FAITH, not fear, was a factor?" Victor Jackson, a great man of God, preached about The Call to Greatness. He stated, "Man measures greatness by what you gained, God measures greatness by what you leave behind." To be called to greatness, you have to be called to sacrifice and leave certain things behind that hinder you from achieving the climax of your blessing from God. These preachings had such an impact in my heart.
Is this that? Here's my answer. I will no longer allow my fears and troubles hold me hostage from doing what God has called me to do. I must sacrifice without being hesitant so I can have a profound relationship with Him; the great revival has begun, and I refuse to stand beside and watch it happen. God wants us to do more major things for His kingdom, and I am not going to disregard that! Ever since NAYC, I have heard the voice of God, and I pray to follow His promise. No matter where I have been, no matter what I have done, or how I fall, God lifts me back up again! THIS IS THAT! It is time to go out and change our world for the better; we are the chosen generation, and great things are yet to come!
"But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall see visions, and your old men shall see dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days my spirit; and they shall prophesy." - Acts 2:16-18
I urge you not to let this be just another conference that you've attended. Continue to be stirred by God and impact lives through prayer, purpose, humbleness, sacrifice, obedience, love, unity, and faith. By blessing others you will also receive your blessing. How great is our God!
Overall, NAYC was a miraculous and glorious event filled with unforgettable memories. I am so grateful for the impact this congress has had in my life and others. I would totally recommend everyone who couldn't attend this congress to make it to the upcoming one which is said to be on July 31-August 2, 2019 in Missouri. I guarantee you that you will not come out the same and your life will be changed forever. I am blessed to be alive, and I look forward to what God creates and births out of me throughout the process.
